Instant Butter Chicken Curry

Curry is one of the few dishes I have not attempted to make from scratch for two main reasons. I am not particularly picky about curry and store-bought curry is pretty darn good.

For Indian curry, there are a couple brands that make ready-to-eat curry in a jar. I used the Kroger brand from Fred Meyers in this instance, which I found to be the most tasty so far. Throw in some naan bread and you’ve got dinner in 20 minutes!

Instant Butter Chicken Curry

oil
1 pre-sliced chicken breast
1 jar of Butter Chicken Curry (I used the Kroger brand)
1 potato, chopped into cubes
2-3 pieces of ready-to-eat naan bread

Directions:

1. Add oil to a medium pot. Sear and brown the sliced chicken breast. Add the potatoes and pour in the butter chicken curry. Turn heat to medium low and let the curry simmer until the potatoes are tender.

2. Prepare the naan bread according to package instructions. Serve warm with the curry. Alternative: Serve with basmati rice.

Serves two.
